Replaces 1157 - 12 V tail lamp bulbs. Dual or single element.

NOTE: Be Careful - Quartz Halogen bulbs emit substantial amounts of heat. Best if used with glass lenses and metal housings.

NEVER touch these bulbs with bare fingers! Smudges and skin oil will cause quick bulb failure. Wipe them with a cloth containing rubbing alcohol before use!

Better Than What I Bought Elsewhere

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Installed bulbs in rear lights on 1966 Mustang with updated lenses that can handle the heat. Original lights dim by today's standards. These are big improvement. They come in box and plastic foam protection and include instructions about the need to wipe with alcohol to remove any finger prints that can cause premature failure. Bulbs bought elsewhere (at same price) did not come in a box and had no instructions about the need to clean them. They failed after short time. I am sure cause no instructions about cleaning off finger prints and I didn't wipe them off. Won't buy anywhere else but Speedway!
