Nice vintage looking tach

August 12, 2015
Great looking vintage looking Tach. Just remember to set it for v8, 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder. Does not fit the Speedway Tach cup. Had to modify Tach cup and Tach to make fit.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Can this tach be used on a 6 volt system? I realize the bulb is 12 volt but can it be changed and the tach work properly on a Ford 59ab flathead with 6 volt system?

No, all the tachs and gauges we currently offer are for 12 volt negative ground systems. For 6 volt you may want to check with Stewart Warner for availability.

There is no tach sender necessary. You simply connect the tach signal wire to the negative side of the coil.

Classic Instruments MT-51 Chrome Tach Cup
(Part #275051)

Nothing says "hot rod" like a tachometer strapped to the steering column or perched atop the dash. This chrome-plated mounting cup accepts 3-3/8" tachs and will help you mount your tach where you want it.

Works well with Classic Instruments and Omega 3-3/8" tachs.
