Info

For T's and early 1930's street rods using 1949-54 Chevy passenger car spindles. Maximum car weight 2500 lbs.

Kit includes:

  • Two 1-3/4" spring shackles with nylon bushings
  • Two spring pivots
  • 26" 4-leaf Super Glide™ spring, 1-3/4" wide
  • Two axle brackets
  • Tube axle, 48" eye-to-eye, 4" drop
  • Two 27" radius rods
  • Four clevises with jam nuts and bolts
  • Two 5/8" heims with jam nuts
  • Spring U-bolts sold separately

Several options are available for shock mounts upper and on the axle. A kit is offered and applicable to T buckets and early 30’s rods under part number 715150. There is also a shackle plate itself with an extra hole for a shock stud under part number 91036120 and several frame mounts such as 91636001, 91036008, 91036006, 91636004, and more. The various options can be seen on our website and also in our catalogs. If still in question feel free to call and visit with a tech.

Part number 91339009 In assembled fashion with vehicle sitting at ride height the castor, or lean back of the king pins at the top normally should be between 5 and 7 degrees positive.

Yes this would be fine on anything from a Model A to a 32 Ford type frame.

Yes a reverse eye spring can be substituted if desired. Clearance between the spring an the top of the axle will not be an issue.

From the center line of the spindle or axle boss to the top of the leaf spring will be 2 1/2" to 3" with zero compression of the spring. When the weight is on the spring and shackles at 45 degrees the top of the spring will be near the spindle centerline.
