If the engine is being used for a racing application then you will need 36 degrees of ignition timing for best performance.

The best choice of rocker arms for this cam would be a roller rocker such as 28219001 however this cam is commonly used with long slot rockers 28711801 or roller tip rockers 57583501. You will need to use upgraded valve springs such as 180671515 and new retainers 91539741 are also suggested. You will need to check to be sure you heads have room to allow the .516" valve lift. Machining of the guides to allow more lift is commonly needed on stock heads.

This would be a good choice if you have a high speed 1/2 mile track. Camshaft 915110691 will work better on smaller tracks or a tight corner 1/2 mile track, especially if you plan to keep the RPM down to 6000 to 6500 max.

In our class, we have to run a stock cast intake and a 2bbl. carb. We run a 350 .60 over with flat top 10.5 and stock stroke. It is a heavy car. Will this work well with a 2bbl and cast intake? nothing radical in the engine.

If you plan to turn the engine up to at least 6500 RPM this camshaft will work well. If you plan on running the engine to 6000 RPM max then the 915110591 would be better for you.

we are running this cam and has awesome torque, but it drops off at about 6600-6700, we are running 1/4 and big 3/8 dirt tracks, car pulls really hard off the corners and on the drop of green. we are wondering if this cam is a more torque cam and just need to run a higher gear cause it flattens out and stops making rpm's

I would tend to agree with your evaluation. You can either gear the car out more, or go to a bigger cam. 915110741 is the next larger cam, however you will loose some of your low end.
