Q & A

What's in the Box

These steering column features a 1-3/4" polished stainless steel tube, real ball bearings for smooth shaft operation and a polished aluminum quick release hub that will accept the common Grant steering wheel 3-bolt pattern. It just doesn't get any cooler than this!

Uses the common 3/4" DD shaft and U-joints. Not for use with steering wheel centered horn button.

910-32310 Instructions (PDF)

Note: If using a 446-4050 ball swivel mount, slight modification to the O.D. of the column end or I.D. of the swivel mount may be necessary due to a .001"-.005” variation between manufacturers.

Specs

  • The length is measured from where the steering wheel bolts on to where the U-joint goes on.
  • The bottom of the shaft is 3/4" DD.

beautiful column

March 13, 2015
Perfect finish and easy wheel mount. The removable pin is difficult to remove as the spring loaded dimples in the pin are stiff and do not want to depress. Gets easier as it is removed and installed. Might just be my pin. Would rather have it this way than to be loose.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Just what I wanred

February 27, 2013
The no nonsence steering column fit perfectly in the small confines of my Model A Pickup. The stainless finish fits right in with the mild custom look I was going for and it operates smoothly . I was kinda gambling on it fitting when I ordered the column but everything worked out nicely! It was a direct bolt in , I couldn't be more pleased. Jeff
Pros:
  • Good Looks
  • direct bolt in
  • Good Fit
  • Good price
Yes, I recommend this product.

This steering column is measured as total length from the steering wheel mount to the end of the double D shaft. You can use a broom stick something similar to mock up as a steering column. Next sit in the seat and determine where you want the steering wheel to end up. Then take a measurement for the length needed.

I didn't need to shorten my steering column tube but , it appears that it can be done easily. Jeff

The outer column tube can be shortened as needed per your application. Remove the bearing retainer and bearing from the lower end, shorten the outer tube as needed, and reassemble. If the bearing is damaged we do offer replacement bearings.
