These "small base circle" cams are custom ground to our specs by COMP Cams. They feature extra an extra machining process to clearance the lobes so they do not contact the connecting rods on stroker motors. Always test-assemble your engine combination and verify clearance between the connecting rods and the rest of the engine. Cam Application Chart (GIF)
Our solidflat tappet cams offer superior performance and the very best value. These grinds are tried and tested!Note: This cam isnot drilled for an accessory drive. Many sprint cars use a fuel pump power steering or dry sump oil pump mounted to the rear of the engine which is driven off of the back of the camshaft. This requires that the cam be drilled and tapped for the drive spud. Our flat tappet cams DO NOT have this modification. (Our roller cams already have this modification incorporated when manufactured.)If you ...

Mechanical flat tappet camshaft for oval track applications by COMP Cams. Cam features a 4/7 swap firing order (18736542 firing order) which exchanges the 4 and 7 camshaft lobe timing in small block Chevy V8s. This provides a a smoother application of force to the crankshaft. Some 4/7 swap engines will experience horsepower gains, but all of them will gain an exceptionally smooth torque curve with this new firing order technology.
