    This power steering pump bracket mounts a stock-style GM pump to a S/B Chevy block. Must be used with a short style water pump. Mounts on the lower left side. Bracket is zinc plated with threaded shaft. Designed to work with a '70-'82 GM pump that has a threaded pulley shaft, not a press-on style.

    Works with bolt-on or press-on pulleys with a mount spacing of 3.75". Due to the variety of pulley configurations, it is likely that you will have to space the pump/bracket for belt alignment.

    Note: This will NOT work when used on early 1970's Chevelle/Camaro chassis with a steering box.

    Original flathead water pumps have always suffered from unreliable bronze bushings and carbon seals. They almost always leaked and even Ford manuals warned mechanics not to tighten fan belts too tight. The excess slack allowed belts to slip and lose contact with the generator and water pump pulleys, causing more cooling and power problems.

    Speedway's completely new water pumps feature severe-duty roller and ball bearings, close tolerances and modular impellers to provide maximum flow and reduce cavitation. They also have modern ceramic seals on a heavy duty 3/4" shaft, making the assembly exceptionally strong and more efficient.

    Note: This water pump is for 1949-1953 engines in 1948-1952 pickups or 1932-1948 cars.

    KRC's water pump only drive kit for the CT525 includes everything you need to finish the front of the engine. The water pump that comes on the CT525 has no provision for a mechanical fan to attach. KRC's kit replaces the water pump with a clockwise rotation Stewart Pro Series water pump. Also included is KRC's idler-tensioner to keep proper belt tension and prevent belt slippage when using a mechanical fan.

    In addition, a R-LOK crank adapter and pulley, Pro Series water pump pulley, water bypass fittings and hose kit, water pump fittings, water pump spacers, two Goodyear Gatorback belts, hardware and spacers and installation instructions are all included.

    Fabricated from 1/4" mild steel with stainless/chrome Allen head hardware. Simple installation; all brackets are pre-assembled. Drilling or tapping is not required. Attaches to the lower left front of the block using the two lower bolt holes located by the timing cover (the old front motor mount holes). The adjusting arm mounts to the lower water pump hole. Accepts stock GM Saginaw power steering pumps with attached reservoir.

    Available in chrome or black painted.

    If you want to move your power steering pump and alternator up to the driver side head, this is the bracket for you. It allows you to retain your original LS1 alternator, balancer, A/C bracket and compressor.

    • Cap on an '00 F-Body LS1 P/S Reservoir is 1-3/4" higher than the top of the Throttle Body
    • Centerline of water pump pulley to outside edge of alternator = 16"

    Includes a billet aluminum bracket, belt and hardware.
