One thing that has become very evident when browsing through the latest rodding magazines is that there is no shortage of options regarding suspensions for your rodding project. Various advertisers feature their latest fancy complete independent set-ups, while car features cover a combination of both the latest and greatest vs. traditional styles of suspensions. Which ones are the best? How hard are they to install, and how much is it going to cost?

In The Complete Builder's Guide to Hot Rod Chassis & Suspension, highly regarded hot rodding author Jeff Tann covers everything enthusiasts need to know about designing and building their new chassis and suspension system. It thoroughly explores both factory and aftermarket frames, modified factory solid-axle suspensions, and aftermarket independent front and rear suspension setups. No matter what design a reader may be considering for his own car, How to Build Hot Rod Chassis delivers a wealth of information on the pros and cons of all systems available.

Whether you end up building a traditional or retro rod and stick with a conventional system, go high-tech and get the latest and greatest, or decide on a hybrid somewhere in between, this book will guide you through the process of choosing, installing, and enjoying your hot rod's suspension.

    Speedway Coil Spring Slider

Speedway's coil spring slider uses an Oilite bronze shaft bushing rather than nylon, which gives a bind free coil slider which requires very little maintenance. The bronze bushing also resists damage from debris and requires just a light grease to keep the slider smooth.

We use a tubular piston rod to save weight. Any 5" diameter rear spring can be used in either 10" or 13" heights. A jam nut allows you to make quick adjustments and dial in your race car when track conditions change.

An internal stop keeps the slider in place when jacking up the car. Our slider fits most popular chassis on the market. The slider's compressed length is 14" to 15-1/2" and extends to 22-1/2".

    Slider sold without spring.

Book/Manual - How to Restore Your Camaro, 1967-69
    x
About 700,000 Camaros were built from 1967 to 1969. The first-generation Camaro has won a die-hard following and has become an iconic performance car. Camaros in excellent condition command very high prices, so many owners are compelled to perform a professional-grade original restoration. Since these cars are about 40 years old, many cars need second or third restorations, and as time goes by, these cars will continue to appreciate and require restoration. That's where How to Restore Your Camaro 1967-1969 comes in. While some owners can afford to pay shops to perform a 100-point restoration for show car competition, many owners want to perform a faithful, detailed restoration themselves, so the car maintains its collector value and use it as a fun weekend driver. This book will serve those owners.

A lead title in our Restoration Series, How to Restore Your Camaro 1967-1969 will provide in-depth, hands-on information and photography for restoring these popular and historically significant cars. It covers all aspects of restoration, including engines and drivelines, bodywork, interior and trim, suspension, brakes, chassis, and steering for the first-generation Camaros. Organization and planning will be covered, so restorers can stay on task. Disassembly, inspection, and sourcing the best parts will also be covered. This volume will deliver a concise and revealing overview of each subject area and shows the most critical aspects of the
