    One of the most popular LS platform engines that are being scavenged and used as donor engines are coming from trucks. These engines are available in a variety of sizes and power such as 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L and even a 6.2L. Fortunately, the majority of the engine architecture and components are similar with differences being largely in the mounting of accessories and the intake manifold design.

    MSD is launching two new Atomic LS Kits for these engines and we’ve been able to narrow down the offerings to two kits; an early model Atomic kit and a late model kit. Unfortunately, there is not a clear cut year to differentiate between the two but you can easily identify the kit you need by the throttle body.
    Early engines use a throttle body that has three bolts retaining it to the intake manifold and these can be mechanical linkage or throttle-by-wire. The late model truck engines to be identified with a 4-bolt throttle body.

    • Intended for use on early truck engines with a 3-bolt throttle body

    This adapter will mount a 1986-1995 GM throttle body injector (4.3 V6 or 5.7 V8) to a 4 BBL intake manifold. It works best on an aftermarket open-plenum intake. This TBI adapter could be used on a modifed Q-jet intake, but some material would have to be removed from the plenum area.

    This adapter is 3/4" thick.

    Allen screws are included for the adapter and the throttle body mounting, as well as a gasket between the adapter and the intake.

    This tri power kit uses the Edelbrock C-357-B S/B Chevy 3x2 intake with Speedway's 9 Super 7® carbs. It has progressive linkage to give you good driveability and economy, but power when you need it. The manifold has a balanced 180° firing order port runner arrangement. It contains an exhaust gas heat riser and offers excellent performance potential. (idle-5500 rpm)

    Kit includes three carbs, the intake, air cleaners, linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required. Fits 1957-1986 Chevy 262-400 c.i.d. small-block Chevys.

    Direct replacement throttle pedal assemblies for 1962-1972 Chevy II/Nova with rubber inserts eliminate the factory rod linkage, are designed to mount in the original firewall location, and utilize a modern Lokar throttle cable system. The arms are splined for fine adjustment and can be switched for right and left adjustment of the throttle pad, which is spring-loaded and measures 2"x5". Available in a brushed finish.

    While most manufacturers of small block Chevy intake manifolds have designed their units around 350 c.i. engines, World Products has developed a very efficient manifold for 383 c.i. & larger engines that's proven to increase performance by 15-25 horsepower over the competition.

    In addition to out-powering the competition, it's important to note that these single plane manifolds are designed to operate most efficiently in the 2500 to 7500 RPM range, and have the low-end throttle response and torque comparable to a dual plane. Look inside the plenum and you'll see a "turtle" on the manifold floor that helps increase velocity for improved bottom-end performance.

    This tri power kit uses the Edelbrock C-357-B S/B Chevy 3x2 intake with Speedway's 9 Super 7® carbs. It has progressive linkage to give you good driveability and economy, but power when you need it. The manifold has a balanced 180° firing order port runner arrangement. It contains an exhaust gas heat riser and offers excellent performance potential. (idle-5500 rpm)

    Kit includes three chrome plated carbs, the plain finish aluminum intake, 4" chrome air cleaners, linkage kit, chrome fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required. Fits 1957-1986 Chevy 262-400 c.i.d. small-block Chevys.

    Note: Not applicable to an HEI based distributor system due to a clearance issue. This system must be used in conjunction with a small diameter based distributor.
