    Speedway Motors now offers a reproduction version of one of the most popular carburetors ever used, the original Stromberg 97! Original equipment on '30s and '40s cars and trucks, the Stromberg 97 has long been favored by flathead hot rodders and racers who realized the performance qualities of this timeless fuel supplier.

    There have been numerous attempts to reproduce this unit, with little success. "Speedy" Bill Smith of Speedway Motors in Lincoln, Nebraska, took on the challenge to make a great product even better. The 9 Super 7 ® Carb brings this reproduction of the original Stromberg 97 2 barrel carb into the 21st Century!

    Speedway Motors has incorporated all of the improvements shown above while maintaining the carburetor's original look.     This kit uses the Eddie Meyer Flathead Ford intake with Speedway's 9 Super 7 ® carbs. It includes two 9Super7 carbs, the intake, air cleaners, linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line.   The assembled height on this is 16.25".  Assembly required.

    Eddie Meyer 49-53 Intake Manifold - 

    These Eddie Meyer intake manifolds are reproduced from the original tooling. This '49-'53 Ford version is a 2-piece, long runner, exhaust heated manifold that is better suited to street use.

    The cleanest way to plumb your multi carb set-up is to use banjo fittings. These 6061 T-6 aluminum fittings accept 5/16" I.D. hose and work on any carb with 1/2"-20 inlet threads. The Ford/Holley 94 carburetor will require spacers listed, which moves the banjo out to clear the carb body. Your Stromberg 97 style carb or Rochester 2G will not need the spacers.

    Banjo fittings swivel 360 degrees while placing your lines closer to the carbs for maximum linkage clearance. The flange on the bolt slip fits into the banjo body keeping the fitting centered on the bolt. Large undercut on bolt and big hole will give excellent fuel flow. Teflon washers on both sides of the fitting seals the banjo.

    These fittings work on all 2x2, 3x2, 4x2 and 6x2 intakes using Holley 94 or Stromberg 97 carbs. You need one single and one double for a 2x2, one single and two doubles for a 3x2, etc.

    This kit uses the Offy Dual '49-'53 Flathead Ford intake with Speedway's 9 Super 7® carbs. It includes two carbs, the intake, air cleaners, linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required. 

    Said to be its most popular flathead intake, Offenhauser’s 2x2 Regular intake has closely spaced carbs that will clear the stock generator. The Offy regular dual intake accepts two 3-bolt carbs. Great addition to a street oriented engine. Has 4-3/4" carb centers.

    The 9Super7® makes setting up a multiple carburetor induction system easier than when Strombergs were available new. All that's required to do so with our kits is a Uni-Syn syncing tool and a little patience. Be sure to include the Secondary 9 Super 7 when installing 3-carb setups.     The Edelbrock C-357-B manifold is designed for 1955-86 262-400 c.i.d. small-block Chevys. This 3x2 plain finish aluminum manifold has a balanced 180° firing order port runner arrangement. It contains an exhaust gas heat riser and offers excellent performance potential. (idle-5500 rpm)  Accepts oil fill tube and breather.

    Use Stromberg, Holley, Demon 3-bolt carb (with 1-1/4" bore). HEI distributor WILL NOT fit this manifold.

    This reproduction of the vintage Edelbrock manifold #SU 349 allows the use of three 2-barrel carbs on a 1949-53 Ford flathead engines. Accepts Stromberg 3-bolt (97 type), Holley 3-bolt, Ford 94 style 3-bolt and Demon 98 carburetors. Carb spacing is 5-1/8".
