    Stock '64-'66 Mustang strut rods used a flimsy rubber bushing to control fore & aft movement of the wheel during suspension travel. This design was prone to deflection during hard acceleration and braking. A more positive approach to the problem would be to install an adjustable strut rod kit with a spherical rod end in place of the rubber bushing. Global Wests strut rods are designed as a bolt on application. No welding or frame modifications are required. When using a strut rod design of this nature, the deflection is totally eliminated. The suspension no longer deflects fore and aft. The vehicle now sees a lower a-arm rather than a two component system (strut rod & lower arm).

    • Bolt on application, no frame modifications 
    • Allows you to dial-in your front suspension
    • Adjusting sleeve uses standard open-end wrench, no special tools required
    • Rods are powercoated black

    Factory rubber bushings are not designed for racing, that's why we sell these Urethane Bushings. Urethane bushings make a dramatic improvement in the way your race car handles, with quicker steering response and greater vehicle control.     These are stock, reclaimed 1968-72 Chevelle A-Body stamped steel control arms that have been cleaned and have had the ball joint removed. A-arm still has OEM bushings that will need to be replaced.

    These kits include our gasser straight front axle, semi-elliptical springs, spindles, king pins, steering arms, tierod kit, brake kit, and hardware. Choose either 5 on 4-1/2" or 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern with standard brake kit or Wilwood brake kit. Standard brake kits use new rotors and GM metric style calipers. Brake lines not included. Shocks not included, but shock mounts are included. Assembly required.
