    These tie rod/drag link kits are pre-cut and tapped lengths of 7/8" O.D. tubing available in multiple lengths. Each kit comes complete with 5/8" heim joint rod ends and jam nuts. Tubing will be tapped with right-hand & left-hand threads for adjustability.

    Select your length based on the center-to-center of the heim rod ends, which will also be the eye-to-eye distance between the steering arms (the acutal tube will be 3" shorter than length selected). At selected length, the link will be adjustable from 1/4" shorter to 1/2" longer.

    Normally used with '49-'54 Chevy style spindles and flat steel steering arms. Can be used with stock type Ford arms if drilled out to 5/8".

    Don't settle for a weak 4-bar end made out of a piece of tubing welded to a bolt. These Speedway rod ends are made from fully polished investment cast stainless steel for superior strength and durability. All rod ends feature a 5/8"-18 RH threaded shank and the nylon bushing has a steel sleeve that accepts a 1/2" bolt.

    Rod ends come in three different configurations:

    • Straight Shank
      • Mounting eye is perpendicular to threaded shank
      • 5/8"-18 RH threads
      • Center of mounting eye to end of threads is 2-7/8"
    • 7° Shank
      • Mounting eye is offset 7° from perpendicular to threaded shank (with the bushing side down, the stud will be angled up at a 7° angle)
      • 5/8"-18 RH threads
      • Center of mounting eye to end of threads on short side is 2-13/16"
      • Center of mounting eye to end of threads on long side is 2-15/16"
    • 11° Shank

    Our dropped axles for your classic Ford F1 pickup will get the front end down where you want it. The center portion of the axle is made of 2" DOM tubing while the ends are CNC milled from solid steel. These axles give you 2" of drop on the '57-'60 chassis. Tie rod drops required, U-bolts sold separately.

    If using this axle in conjunction with drop springs, you may encounter bump steer or tie rod issues.

    • This provides 3"drop compared to the stock 53-56 axle, it provides
      2"drop compared to the 57-60 axle.
    • Dropped tie-rod ends 910 48640 may be required to provide tie-rod to spring
      clearance.
    • If you are also using dropped springs, they may need to modify the
      drag link / pitman arm to avoid bump steer.
    • Kingpin center to center = 53 3/4"
    • Spring pad center to center = 32 3/4"
    • Axle will provide a camber reading of -1.6 degrees

                Cross steering means the drag link reaches across the car and attaches to the passenger-side steering arm. If that steering arm has only one hole, you'll need to build the tie rod with this tie rod end on the RH side. Then the drag link attaches to the eyelet (which is tapered 1/2 way from both sides.) 
    • Not for use with flat steering arms
    • Use only with Ford type steering arms with a tapered hole
    • Not normally used with Chevy spindles

    Note: When using the cross steering end, the tube length will need to be 6" shorter than the eye-to-eye length. Example: A 46" kit will need 40" tube length.

    Kit includes a Chromoly 1.375" bent tube with .120” wall, threaded shock/heim spud, and splined torsion bar end. Welding and fitting required. Adaptable to make either right or left side arms.

    The 5/8" rod end for bird cage screws into the front of the small tube and the shock attaches to back of the small tube.

    The straight part of the tube is 12.5" long, from the inside of the tube to the end is 17" (about 18.5" from the outside to the end) overall length.

    Cross steering means the drag link reaches across the car and attaches to the passenger-side steering arm.     With cross steering a Panhard bar is a must-have. It stops side-to-side sway of chassis relative to the axle. This bar is for spring-over-axle, 4-bar front ends on 1928-1934 Fords.  Tube O.D. is 5/8".

    • 11/16" outside diameter
    • 1/2" inside diameter
    • 1/2" bolt
    • 1/2" heim

    Chassis bracket welds-on, then bar bolts in place to the side of the 4-bar batwing. Panhard bar bracket mounts to a batwing that features a 4-1/2" on center four-bar spacing.

    This swedged throttle linkage tubing is tapped 3/16" (10-32) LH and RH thread. One end of the throttle rod will have left hand threads, and the other end will have right hand threads. Made of 5/16" x 0.049 round aluminum tubing.

    Note: When measuring for your tube length, you will want to allow 1.5" in length for the rod ends (3/4" of length for each end when calculating your eye-to-eye measurement. For instance, an eye-to-eye length of 11.5" would require a 10" swedged tube.
