    If you thought all T-buckets were the same, think again! The all-new Speedway Motors Tribute T breaks the T-bucket mold. It offers the traditional look of classic, competition-influenced roadsters combined with modern components and refined engineering. All this in a comfortable package that's easy to assemble using basic hand tools.

    The Tribute T frame has an extra-high rear kickup and Model A rear crossmember that will accept our medium-arch rear leaf spring. Rear axle options include our bolt-on Winters quick-change kit 7151801, bolt-on 9" Ford rear axle option 7151809, or a Ford-style banjo rear end of your choice (must be a centered-pinion rear axle). The front suspension uses a 4 inch drop I-beam axle, wishbone-style radius rods and traditional steering with a reversed Corvair steering box.     These steering column features a 1-3/4" polished stainless steel tube, real ball bearings for smooth shaft operation and a polished aluminum quick release hub that will accept the common Grant steering wheel 3-bolt pattern. It just doesn't get any cooler than this!

    Uses the common 3/4" DD shaft and U-joints. Not for use with steering wheel centered horn button. The length is measured from where the steering wheel bolts on to where the U-joint goes on.

    These tie rod/drag link kits are pre-cut and tapped lengths of 7/8" O.D. tubing available in multiple lengths. Each kit comes complete with 5/8" heim joint rod ends and jam nuts. Tubing will be tapped with right-hand & left-hand threads for adjustability.

    Select your length based on the center-to-center of the heim rod ends, which will also be the eye-to-eye distance between the steering arms (the acutal tube will be 3" shorter than length selected). At selected length, the link will be adjustable from 1/4" shorter to 1/2" longer.

    Normally used with '49-'54 Chevy style spindles and flat steel steering arms. Can be used with stock type Ford arms if drilled out to 5/8".

    These forged steel steering arms will attach to all 1937-48 Ford spindles but their greater drop, 3-3/4" from spindle mount holes means they work best on 1935-48 Ford cars (with spring-over front axle). Clears most radius rods and wishbones. These steering arms accept 11/16" Ford 7 degree "tapered" tie rod ends (both the top and bottom are tapered to allow tie rods to mount above or below arm as needed). You can drill-through with a 5/8" bit to use spherical rod ends.

    Use a 46" eye-to-eye tie rod link when used with a 48" wide axle with Ford spindles.

    POWER: Rebuilt power rack from 1982-88 T-bird. Also fits aftermarket Mustang II crossmembers. Bushings included. (Can be used with a Saginaw GM power steering pump without any additional valves or inline pressure regulators). Overall width is 45-1/8" with 15-1/2" mount centers.     These 1-3/4" drop forged steel steering arms are popular on Model T - 1934 Fords with 4" dropped axles and four-bar or hairpin radius rod suspensions. Will attach to '37-'48 Ford spindles and accept 11/16" Ford "tapered" tie rod ends (both the top and bottom are tapered to allow tie rods to mount above or below arm as needed). You can drill-through with a 5/8" bit to use spherical rod ends.

    Use a 46" eye-to-eye tie rod link when used with a 48" wide axle with Ford spindles.

    If you are building a hot rod just a little bit different than the next guy, you will probably need a special length tie rod or drag link sleeve. We stock many common and uncommon lengths. Measurements are in assembled eye-to-eye lengths.

    To order:

    1. Use guide below to measure your finished length.
    2. The part number and length you order will be 3-1/2" longer than the sleeve you receive. (I.E., if you order a 48" part number, you will receive a 44-1/2" long sleeve.) This is the difference in length required to give you the correct finished center-to-center measurement.
    3. All sleeves will have internal RH thread in one end and LH thread in the other.

    For 1949-54 Chevy passenger car spindles. The arms attach with bolts through the lower 2 backing plate mounting holes (3-1/8" center-to-center) on spindle. The distance between the mounting holes to the center of the tie rod hole is 6 inches.

                Cross steering means the drag link reaches across the car and attaches to the passenger-side steering arm. If that steering arm has only one hole, you'll need to build the tie rod with this tie rod end on the RH side. Then the drag link attaches to the eyelet (which is tapered 1/2 way from both sides.) 
    • Not for use with flat steering arms
    • Use only with Ford type steering arms with a tapered hole
    • Not normally used with Chevy spindles

    Note: When using the cross steering end, the tube length will need to be 6" shorter than the eye-to-eye length. Example: A 46" kit will need 40" tube length.
