    On your '55-'57 Chevy car, the front motor mounts are at the front of the block and the rear mount attaches to the bellhousing.  This works fine for original use, but makes it hard to swap in a different tranny or add belt driven accessories to the front of the engine.  This mount kit is the solution!

    These Speedway Mustang IFS kits for 1937-1948 Chevy passenger cars are natural conversions to improve your vehicle's suspension, handling, and overall performance. The Chevy models have frames and fenders which lend themselves nicely to the Mustang front end conversion, without changing the critical geometry.  Like our Ford kits, Chevy kits do not bumpsteer at all.  Included in these kits are all the special, hard-to-make brackets and mounts you will need to complete the installation, plus illustrated installation instructions.

    • Mounting points of all control arms match the original Ford design

    KRC's idler tensioner is a neccessity on dirt cars because elt slippage can occur on cars that exceed 7,000 RPM. They are also vital if you use a large or heavy fixed fan blade or a fan blade with a lot of pitch. These can potentially causes overheating faster wear. This occurs on both single drive belt and pulley systems with a power steering pump mounted on the front of the engine.

    This happens because the fan belt and pulleys are required to slow the fan. The belt stretches so it slips while braking, inducing heat into the belt. The belt will continue to stretch as the race goes on, causing engine temperature to slowly climb. To properly tension the belt to prevent slippage is with an idler or tensioner pulley mounted on the passenger side of the engine. This helps the engine run cooler and the belt tighter, allowing faster acceleration out of turns & harder braking on corners.

    Electric switch is housed in a billet aluminum box that mounts with transmission pan bolts. Turbo 400 transmission kickdown kit includes "U-Cut-to-Fit" black outer housing. Designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable, aluminum fittings and stainless steel inner wire and stainless mounting bracket.  This design eliminates mounting unsightly electrical switches on carburetor, manifold, or near throttle pedal.

                By removing a portion of the original crossmember and installing this kit you can improve your 1937-1940 Ford in 3 ways: 
    • increase chassis strength
    • make room for a modern transmission
    • provide a mount for a Turbo 350 or TH350 transmission

    After trimming your original wishbone and welding in new ends (easily accomplished off the car), the rest of the kit bolts right in.
