The Ram 7-1/4 will also bolt directly to most existing 7-1/4" flywheels.

    Tech Tip:  When installing a new multi disc clutch, be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for correct set-up.  You should also replace the pilot bushing/bearing.

    Tech Tip:  To extend the life of your expensive racing clutch you should not use it to load the car on or in your trailer.  The amount of slippage this causes is worse than a night of racing.

    This is the killer clutch set-up for the 2.3/2.0 L based Ford Pinto engine. It is a 5-1/2" two disc that only weighs 8.12 lbs. for lower moment of inertia resulting in quicker acceleration and deceleration. It MUST be used with crankshafts that have been re-tapped for 7/16" bolts. Fits 1"-23 spline input. 

    This is a 2-disc racing clutch that works like a single disc clutch but with more clamping force, you will need a aftermarket throw out bearing with a round face. You will not need a flywheel, you will need a flex plate. This is the killer clutch set-up for the 2.3/2.0 L based Ford Pinto engine. It is a 5-1/2" two disc that only weighs 8.12 lbs. for lower moment of inertia resulting in quicker acceleration and deceleration.     Here are some strong, affordable flexplates for you guys running 289/302/351W small block Ford engines. Built from high-tensile chromoly steel, these flexplates are SFI approved and .035" thicker than stock pieces.

    Double welded ring gears will withstand the torque generated from high-stall converters, while the lightweight design promotes rapid engine response. The 157-tooth flywheels are available in 28 or 50 oz.

    Due to the unique offset of these flexplates, they will not work in conjunction with an OEM 12" torque converter.
