    Just because you've got a vintage Flathead Ford V8 in your ride doesn't mean you're stuck with the antiquated charging system. Switching to a tried-and-true GM 1-wire alternator is a great upgrade for any Flathead-equipped vehicle with a 12-volt electrical system.

    These low mount alternator brackets mount common Delco alternators below the frost plug at the left front corner (driver's side) of your small block Chevy using bolt holes next to the timing cover. They are ideal for custom builds, street rods, and tube chassis cars that do not have power steering and work with short ('55-'68 S/B Chevy) water pumps. These brackets will support a standard full-size GM alternator which is sold separately.  Includes bracket, bolts and spacers.

    Said to be its most popular flathead intake, Offenhauser’s 2x2 Regular intake has closely spaced carbs. The Offy regular dual intake accepts two 3-bolt carbs. Great addition to a street oriented engine. Has 4-3/4" carb centers.

    The generator may not fit into the stock location due to the clearance issue with the carburetor.  The generator can be relocated to the passenger side using bracket # 325-1146. If using a GM alternator, use our chrome 916-67909 or plain 916-67910 bracket.

    • Carb Centers:  4-3/4"
    • Carb pads are angled as they were on stock 49-53 intakes
    • Front drivers side accessory hole is for draft tube and measures 1.25"
    • Rear drivers side accessory hole is for oil fill tube and measures 1.375"

    KRC's idler tensioner is a neccessity on dirt cars because elt slippage can occur on cars that exceed 7,000 RPM. They are also vital if you use a large or heavy fixed fan blade or a fan blade with a lot of pitch. These can potentially causes overheating faster wear. This occurs on both single drive belt and pulley systems with a power steering pump mounted on the front of the engine.

    This happens because the fan belt and pulleys are required to slow the fan. The belt stretches so it slips while braking, inducing heat into the belt. The belt will continue to stretch as the race goes on, causing engine temperature to slowly climb. To properly tension the belt to prevent slippage is with an idler or tensioner pulley mounted on the passenger side of the engine. This helps the engine run cooler and the belt tighter, allowing faster acceleration out of turns & harder braking on corners.

    These accessory drive brackets from Holley are great when swapping a GM LS engine into a muscle car, truck, hot rod or other vehicle. These brackets were designed to deliver a factory style appearance, correct belt alignment, and factory stability. Holley's kits supply the required brackets and hardware needed for installation.

    To determine correct application, these three easy steps will help get you going:

    • Step one is to determine your belt alignment based on your crank Pulley position on the engine you have.
    • Step two is to choose the Holley accessory drive brackets that you need (A/C, Alt & P/S or both).
    • Step three is to see which Holley installation kit your set–up requires to line up your accessories with your crank Pulley position. An application specific installation kit (part # 425211, 425212, or 425213) is REQUIRED for most applications.

    Late 1950's and early 1960's S/B Chevys had the generator attached to the left exhaust manifold. With headers installed, our brackets are needed to reattach your generator/alternator. Bracket base attaches at #1 cylinder exhaust port and works in conjunction with slide bracket 720-9008.

    These '65-'73 OEM-style alternator brackets feature a brilliant chrome plating which will help dress up your engine bay. Fits Small Block Ford 289 and 302 (not 351W).

    Note: These brackets will not fit the 351W which has a taller deck height than the 289-302 engines.

    These "rams horn" cast iron manifolds were patterned off the 1962-63 327 Corvette but are not OEM remanufactured manifolds. They feature the big 2-1/2" diameter outlets and have provisions to accept original alternator type brackets.

    These headers are copies of the original headers on the 62-63 Corvettes and can be used on almost any small block application. The cast in brackets are for the water tank on the drivers side and generator bracket on the passenger side. These can be cut off and smoothed per customers preference. These are a square port configuration with 1-5/16” top to bottom and also side to side. Compare to your head port size for compatibility.

    If you're converting your Flathead-powered car or truck to a 12-volt electrical system, you'll need a modern alternator for proper charging. This bracket mounts the ever-popular GM 1-wire alternator to a 1938-1945 Flathead Ford V8. The plain steel bracket can easily be painted to match your engine.

    This kit uses the Offy Dual '49-'53 Flathead Ford intake with Speedway's 9 Super 7® carbs. It includes two carbs, the intake, air cleaners, linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required.

    The 9Super7® makes setting up a multiple carburetor induction system easier than when Strombergs were available new. All that's required to do so with our kits is a Uni-Syn syncing tool and a little patience. Be sure to include the Secondary 9 Super 7 when installing 3-carb setups. Our 3 Carb kits come with one primary carburetor and two secondary carburetors while the 2 Carb kits are both primary carbs.  See our Multiple Carburetor Tech Tip for more information on using the 9 Super 7 in a 2x2 or 3x2 carb

                These Saginaw power steering pumps from Tuff Stuff come with a new reservoir, billet cap, chrome hardware and new dipstick. Desirable early style 1965-79 pump with threaded and keyed shaft for easy pulley installation. Available in powder coated black or chrome finish. Hoses are available from most local parts stores. 

    Pump has a 3/8" hose barb for return line and a female 5/8"-18 inverted flare fitting for the high pressure outlet. Pulley not included.
