    Based on the proven Performer RPM Vortec, this single four-barrel intake is designed for 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. The unique Air-Gap design separates the hot engine valley from the air/fuel mixture for a cooler, denser charge and more power throughout the rpm range.

    An external water bypass boss is machined into the front of the water crossover for use on 1996 and later Vortec production engines. Includes rear water outlets, nitrous bosses, a temp sensor boss that clears all waternecks, two distributor clamp locations and a heater outlet boss that's angled for proper fit over the valve cover.

    • Accepts 1976 and later alternator and air-conditioning brackets
    • For square-bore carbs
    • No provision for exhaust-heated chokes and no exhaust crossover
    • Will not fit under stock Corvette hood

    Notes: This intake manifold must be used with 1996 and later Vortec style cylinder heads (even if they are installed on pre-Vortec blocks). Accepts late model water neck, alternator, HEI, and air conditioning. Has provision for external water bypass. Will not accept stock carburetors or 262 TBI unit.

    Designed for small-block Chevys with 4150 Series carburetors and Vortec cylinder heads. They have a large runner cross-sectional area (3.2 square inches) and highly efficient cloverleaf plenum design. In dyno tests on a 358-inch small-block, it made 10 horsepower more than the best competitor's manifold!

    In the '60s, if you wanted to have the baddest car in town, you needed to have dual quads under the hood. These intakes accept Edelbrock carbs and make power in the 1500-6500 RPM range. For Small Block Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or the Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads.

    • Low profile for hood clearance on most vehicles
    • Air-conditioning bosses and front oil filler tube boss included
    • Stock alternator brackets do not fit
    • H.E.I. distributor will fit

    Based on the popular and powerful Edelbrock #2101, this dual-plane intake is designed for the street rod, industrial and engine swap market utilizing 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or the new Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. Manifold has provisions for external water bypass and may be used on either Vortec blocks or 1995 and earlier blocks.

    No provision for exhaust heated chokes. Accepts both square-bore and spread-bore carbs and late model waterneck, alternator, HEI and air conditioning brackets. Will not fit under stock Corvette hood.

Dyno tests showed gains averaging 5+ ft/lbs. of torque from 3000 to 4500 rpm for more performance where you need it most.

    Match with a dependable Edelbrock square-bore carburetor for maximum street performance gains. Edelbrock recommends a 500-650 CFM model.

    These Performer RPM intake manifolds are dual-plane, high-rise intakes with 180° firing order to produce incredible top-end horsepower while retaining good throttle response. Their larger plenums and runners match the free-flowing exhaust, high-lift cams and other modifications of a high output engine. They are intended for high-performance street or competition engines that run up to 6500 rpm. They are not recommended for emissions equipped engines.

    There is nothing sweeter looking or sounding than a dual quad on a Chevy!  This one kit gets you two manual choke Edelbrock carbs, an Edelbrock Vortec style unpolished intake manifold, fuel line and special progressive linkage.  Just add a suggested air cleaner to finish your installation. Will clear HEI distributors.
