    These tie rod/drag link kits are pre-cut and tapped lengths of 7/8" O.D. tubing available in multiple lengths. Each kit comes complete with 5/8" heim joint rod ends and jam nuts. Tubing will be tapped with right-hand & left-hand threads for adjustability.

    Select your length based on the center-to-center of the heim rod ends, which will also be the eye-to-eye distance between the steering arms (the acutal tube will be 3" shorter than length selected). At selected length, the link will be adjustable from 1/4" shorter to 1/2" longer.

    Normally used with '49-'54 Chevy style spindles and flat steel steering arms. Can be used with stock type Ford arms if drilled out to 5/8".

    Note:   Tie rod end has the grease zerk on the back of the tie rod end and not on the end as an inner tie rod end would utilize.  This is not a replacement for a Moog type ES2034RL.  

    Please note the available inner tie rod end #s 910-2034 or 106-30221 noted below when the inner tie rod with a grease zerk in the end is required for an o/e type replacement for the 1978-up GM Metric application.

    For 1949-54 Chevy passenger car spindles. The arms attach with bolts through the lower 2 backing plate mounting holes (3-1/8" center-to-center) on spindle. The distance between the mounting holes to the center of the tie rod hole is 6 inches.

    Note: Chevy arms use a 46" eye to eye tie rod link when used with a 48" wide axle / Chevy spindle.

These exposed small block Chevy headers work great on rods without hoods, but we’ve also seen them peeking through carefully trimmed hood sides. Each lakester header has a flange so you can connect it to a muffled under-car exhaust when the end plate is on.

    Our 3" dropped axle for your classic '47-'54 Chevy half-ton pick-up will get the front end down where you want it. The center portion of the axle is made of 2" DOM tubing while the ends are CNC milled for solid steel. These axles give you 3" of drop.

    The Chevy axles require the steering arm to be modified to accept rod ends or tie rods. U-bolts sold separately.

    • King pin to king pin centers = 50.5"
    • 6" drop measured from spring pad to spindle boss center
    • Axle accepts a 1-3/4" wide spring
    • Spring pad center-to-center = 26.75"
    • Center to center of u-bolt holes is 2.30" side to side
    • Center to center of u-bolt holes front to rear is 3.195"
    • Spring pad width is 29.072" center to center of the outer U-bolt holes

    Nostalgia-style street rods are hotter than ever, and nothing gives your vintage rod that authentic dry lakes competition look like a set of lakester headers. These exposed small block Chevy headers work great on rods without hoods, but we’ve also seen them peeking through carefully trimmed hood sides. Each lakester header has a flange so you can connect it to a muffled under-car exhaust when the end plate is on.

    • Fits 265-400 c.i. with standard or Vortec heads including D-port ZZ-4 style heads (not LT-1)
    • 1-5/8" primary
    • Includes flange to connect 2” exhaust pipe
    • Removable end plates allow you to run open headers with ease
    • Includes gaskets and mounting hardware

    NOTE: Turn-outs NOT included. Headers come with end plates, but the turn outs are sold seperately.

    We stock these hard to find replacement tie rods that are a must when rebuilding your classic vehicle.  They will give your Chevy passenger car overall better handling and a positive feel while cruising the strip.  These inner tie rod ends feature right hand threads. The outer tie rod ends are left hand thread and the adjuster sleeve makes the adjustment for toe in by rotating clockwise or counter clockwise.

    This chevy inner tie rod is 8" overall in length and has approximately 2-7/8" thread length. Thread is 5/8-18 right hand thread.
