    When you put modern front disc brakes on your '55-'57 Chevy car, you should update the master cylinder as well. The stock '55-'57 drum brake master cylinder does not have the capacity to supply the proper amount of pressure for front disc brakes. This simple bolt-on power brake assembly will ensure your brakes are operating at peak performance.

    • Kit contains a 1" bore master cylinder with 1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18 outlets, 8" dual diaphragm booster, and a disc/drum combination valve (provides proportioning and metering).
    • Also includes line to connect the prop/metering block to the master cylinder and the necessary hardware to mount the booster to your original '55-'57 Chevy brake pedal.

    This bracket makes it easy to convert to power brakes while keeping the master cylinder level. The bracket is designed to work with 1955-64 Chevrolet A Body and B body passenger cars such as the Bel Air, Biscayne, Impala and Caprice. The booster side of this bracket has the common 3-3/8” center to center both vertical and horizontal.  

    • Makes it easy to convert to power brakes

    • Designed to work with 1955-64 Chevrolet A Body and B body cars (Bel Air, Biscayne, Impala, Caprice)

    Note: Depending on the application, this kit, in many cases changes the mechanical advantage or pedal ratio. With power assist less pedal pressure is required and to help eliminate some of the pedal travel the attachment location on the pedal arm may be further from the pivot point. You will need to have a straight alignment of the rod to the assembly and also a straight in alignment of the push rod to the booster.

    These kits allow you to mount front disc brakes on your 1955-1964 Chevy full-size car (Bel-Air, Biscayne, Impala, 150 Series, 210 Series). Front disc brakes provide a significant improvement in braking performance versus the drum brakes your old Chevy came with. This disc brake kit works with stock, drum brake spindles only - it does not work with 2" drop spindles. Kit will work with 14" wheels intended for disc brake applications, as well as most 15" (or larger) wheels.

    Rotors are 11" diameter with 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern and calipers have 7/16"-20 inlets. This kit will increase track width 7/8" per side or 1-3/4" total when installed.

    • Designed to clear factory starter, steering shaft, master cyl., booster, etc.
    • Available with standard High Temp Black finish or optional Ceramic Coated inside and out.
    • Designed to be a "Direct Bolt In" when using an AJE K-member
    • Must use tubular lower control arms
    These headers are garage sale priced because they have been bolted on and returned.  These do have some scratches and scuffs.
