Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or the new Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads.The RPM Air-Gap manifold delivers outstanding performance using the same air-gap technology found in our race-winning Victor manifolds.     Based on the proven Performer RPM Vortec, this single four-barrel intake is designed for 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. The unique Air-Gap design separates the hot engine valley from the air/fuel mixture for a cooler, denser charge and more power throughout the rpm range.

    These Performer RPM intake manifolds are dual-plane, high-rise intakes with 180° firing order to produce incredible top-end horsepower while retaining good throttle response. Their larger plenums and runners match the free-flowing exhaust, high-lift cams and other modifications of a high output engine. They are intended for high-performance street or competition engines that run up to 6500 rpm. They are not recommended for emissions equipped engines.

    The Power+Plus Cyclone Manifold is a direct replacement for the stock manifold on 1957-’95 Small Block Chevy non-EGR engines. Includes special adapter bushings to fit ’87-’95 engines. Use the stock Quadra-Jet carb or 500-650 cfm vacuum secondary carburetor. Kit includes adapter plate to permit use of certain square bore style carburetors. Power+Plus Manifolds are cast from steel molds, not from sand molds. Permanent molds provide a tighter grain casting thereby reducing the occurrence of porosity which can mar the polished finish. Additionally, each Power+Plus Manifold is 100% pressure tested for leaks to eliminate installation problems. This is our most popular manifold and is showing up on many performance street machines and street rods.

    RPM range is idle to 5500.  Availabe in plain or show polished.

    NOTES: Manifold includes adaptor bushings to also fit 1987-1995 iron or aluminum heads.  Polished intakes have EGR ports with block plates.

    These camshaft / lifter kits are perfect for use with SBC 400 to 427 CID Air Flow Research 220-235 heads. Max power 6300 rpm, Peak torque 3500. This cam was designed for 1.6 ratio rockers to be used with the AFR heads. The increase lifter velocity maximizes the fill rate of these heads on large stroke engines from 3.75 to 4.00". The cam will maximize RAM Effect and fill cylinder for increase VE. Use of 1.750" on engines up to 412CID and 1.875" on engines over 412CID is highly recommended. We recommend a 3200 stall, a 850CFM carb, and a minimum of 10:1 compression.
