We offer a hose kit part number 91032950 that will work with this power steering pump combo. You will also need adapters for your steering box to convert it to AN6. Those adapters will be specific for each thread size and seal style.

There is no specified RPM range on this pump but it would be ideal to keep the pump RPM below 6500. I highly suggest using the AN10 version so that you have less chance of sucking the feed hose shut and causing pump damage. There really is no down side to going with the larger AN10 inlet other than the hose and fittings are slightly larger.

Would this pump and bracket mount on a 70s big block chevy? Or is it compatible with a saginaw pump bracket?

No the bracket provided is for mounting on a SBC only. You would have to fabricate your own bracket to use this pump on your big block engine. The original brackets from your big block will not be correct for this pump.

Yes this can be used with a Mustang rack. We have many adapters to convert to AN6 power steering hoses which is what this pump uses. Check the thread size of the connections on your rack so that we can help you get the correct adapters.

I have a 1970 Camaro Pro street with a high horsepower big block Dart Big M 572 cubic inch that I drag race and drive on the street, redline on the rev limiter is 7800 rpm. right now I have a flaming river manual steering box and I want to convert back to power steering, I know I have to change the steering box. my question is will this unit work driven from the crank since I have an electric water pump. I believe the pulley is 6 inch dual V belt that currently drives the alternator. A stock Saginaw steering pump couldn't handle the high rpm.

Yes this pump is driven from a V belt crank pulley. This pump has a 6" OD pulley and for your RPM a 5" crank pulley would be best. Also I do suggest the AN10 inlet size of kit 91032913 especially for your high RPM application. It will help ensure that the feed hose does not starve the pump for oil at high RPM.

My 400 chevy block is not drilled/tapped to mount this on the drivers side but is on the passenger side. This would flip the pump upside down putting the outlet pointing down. Would this be an issue for the pump?

It might be hard to get all of the air out of the system if the pump is inverted. Air in the lines would damage the pump
