Included in this kit isa new 500 series power steering box, new centerlink, new pitman and idler arm. Modification of the original steering column is required. Use 910-32460 (1955-56) or 910-32462 (1957) to convert the stock column for use with this kit. This is a straight bolt-on conversion when using our Ididit columns.
This kit allows you to run your original automatic column with a GM 500, 600, or 605 series conversion power steering box. Features an improved shift lever design and added clearance at the firewall
You get a new 500 series power steering box, new centerlink, new pitman and idler arm. This is a straight bolt-in conversion, although '58-'60 cars need to order the 910-32582 idler arm adapter. Steering box uses 'inverted flare' fittings, 11/16" Fine on the pressure side and 5/8" Fine thread on the return side.
This allows you to replace that original power steering centerlink if you want to go to a 605 style box or just convert that originalpower steeringbox to manual steering. You will need to use a pitman arm that has the ball on it, not a tapered tie rod hole.

Finally a bolt-on power rack and pinion for 1955-57 Chevy cars. Simply remove the original steering box, idler arm and tie rod assembly and bolt this unit back in using the original mounting holes. Includes tie rod ends, special steering arms, and a pair of banjo fittings to adapt to AN6 fluid lines. Can be used with most GM steering pumps.
