That particular car does not work with the stock strut rod so I would recommend going to the Must II kit part # 910-34202 that features the tubular control arms that will eliminate the strut rod that is required to use the stock Mustang II lower control arms. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Mustang-II-IFS-w-Tubular-Control-Arms,2089.html That kit with the tubular control arms will make installation much simpler and those control arms will not deflect under cornering loads which will make your car handle better. You will also need a crossmember part # 910-34424 http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1941-48-Ford-Speedway-Crossmembers,7868.html to mount the Mustang II kit in the 1941 -1947 Ford car. WARNING: THIS CROSSMEMBER KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE MOUNTING BRKTS FOR THE STOCK TYPE STRUT RODS. WE RECOMMEND USING OUR TUBULAR STRUT RODS, PART 91034322 (TWO NEEDED),WHICH INCLUDE BRACKETS OR A PAIR OF "NO-STRUT" STYLE TUBULAR LOWER ARMS LIKE OUR PART 910 34333.

Do you guys make a cross member for a 1959 f100 truck or the hole ifs front suspension for the truck

We do not currently offer a cross member for a 1959 f-100 pickup. We do carry a couple of universal cross members part numbers: 413-201 / 413-302 depending on the width of your frame rails and tract width.

I am rebuilding a 1940 ford using the frame speedway sells and a 350 motor the problem is that i really have no way of weighing the front end what size spring would you think i should use ?
Asked on 4/27/2011 11:36:10 AM by douglas from CARNEGIE, PA.
With the Mustang II front suspension in the 40' Ford you would probably want a spring rate of 400 lbs such as our part # 917230400. That rate should give you a comfortable ride.

How complex/difficult is it to properly place this front end on a 40 Ford's frame. What is the secret to measuring the correct placement of the cross member on a 40 Ford frame?
Asked on 5/4/2011 3:29:39 AM by Bill from Chino Valley, AZ
You will need p/n 91034443-DLX DESCRIPTION : 35-40 FORD MUST.II X-MEMBER to complete the set-up. Before removing the original suspension components, measure and record your wheelbase and mark the front axle center line on your frame rails. If your wheel base dimension and the axle center line place the wheel/tire in the center of the wheel well opening, this will also be the center line of the MII cross member. Not a difficult task along with good welding skills. For the non-welder types, we offer a bolt-in MII cross member for your 40. P/N 91043540. This cross member is centered just as the weld in version described above.
