Seamless, one piece, polyethylene fuel cell. Install your own fittings. Fuel cell has one 3/8" hole (located in the center of the side) pre-drilled due to the injection mold process.
Aircraft style cap shown in photo is sold separately of the fuel cells listed.
On our custom builds, this tank is a great value. Run it any direction you want, cut your own holes and you're in business.
quality is good but be prepared to do some work on fittings and filler spout. Have to make your own hold down straps.
fuel cell fit great in the back of 1930 model A.The cell was easy to mount and install filler neck.

what is involved in installing fittings? do you thread in to the tank it's self or ?

It's not recommended to try and thread. The best way is to mount fittings from top using sealing washers with bulk head type fittings.

Depending on how thick the tank is, that might work but the best way to do it is to use a bulkhead fitting with sealer capable of handing what ever type of fuel your going to run

does this come with a cap or do i need to buy the red assembly
Asked on 5/8/2011 7:49:20 AM by from Fort Collins, CO
This fuel cell does not come with the cap, a part number of 91076510 (Aircraft style cap and neck) would be a cap suited for the fuel cell.

if I mount this tank below deck what would I use for a filler?
Asked on 7/4/2011 11:50:47 AM by dopey from kenn wa
For remote fill there are several options. For a fender fill type kit you may want to check out 458359 in conjunction with 458357. For vertical mount you could use 91676550 and fill cap number 91012521 or 6179040. The last two numbers are fill caps and will require a reducer hose or using one hose inside the other as a spacer for a tight seal when making the connection. Or you could use a flush mount fill neck such as 91076510 along with one of our billet fuel doors for a custom in trunk or bed application.

It was mentioned that the hole was drilled "in the side, in the center". Which side? For instance the 16 gallon tank is 25" long 17" wide 9" deep On which side is it drilled?
Asked on 7/15/2011 8:53:06 AM by from Fort Collins, CO
There is only the one 3/8" injection mold hole. It is located right in the center of the 17" wide face of the tank.
