This starter is usually for Ford V8, 221 through 351W and 351C with automatic transmission or 5-speed manual. The starter drive extends 5/8" in front of the mounting face of the starter. From the mounting face to the back end of the starter is 7-3/4".
Will NOT work with a late model AOD (automatic overdrive transmission.)
