LIGHTWEIGHT DART LITTLE M BLOCK
|
Dart starts with the steel main capped little M block and they run a lightening program that will reduce the weight by 18 to 20 pounds. These blocks will only work in a sprint car with no starter. Small Block Chevy.
Components Removed: - Scallop cylinders - outside and valley mounts
- fuel pump mount
- oil filter boss
- clutch tab
- top of bell housing area down to next hole
- side motor
- starter mount
- rear oil passage that feeds oil filter
Components Machined: - inside of pan rails between mains
- between pairs of lifters
- all main caps
- around cam bearing bores at both ends
- around outside of block just below deck
- reduced all freeze plugs boss to .300 thick
- timing chain pocket
- open web inside lifter gallery
