In 1941, Steelcraft created what was considered to be a top of the line luxury pedal car called the Zephyr.
Manufacturers of the 1920's, 1930's and 1940's based pedal car body designs on the styling of full-sized automobiles of the time. The Zephyr pedal car was basically a miniature version of the Lincoln Zephyr.
These pedal cars were sold in a reasonable price bracket considering their luxurious appearance, which included richly colored paint schemes like hazel wood brown with orange trim or maroon with ivory trim.
These pedal cars had no graphics, just classic finishing touches including chrome windshields, steering wheels and bumpers. Today, a Steelcraft Zephyr is considered very collectible, and probably not in the reasonable price bracket of the past.
