AMF/BMC TRUCK PARTS

BMC made headlines in the early 1950's by producing a larger wheel toy that allowed older, bigger kids to play with a pedal vehicle. After AMF bought the company in 1954, the Cab Over Engine truck had continued success into the late 1950's, as several different models emerged.

A popular bright red Hook and Ladder featured an electric light and siren, bell, ladders, rack, and a rear step for an extra rider to join in the fun.

Soon, there was a white Tow Truck with a working hoist, then later, an orange Lumber Transport Truck. Everyone loved the red, white and blue U.S. mail truck with it's working tail gate and air mail graphics.

This style of truck was also made into a Weapons Carrier with hydraulic platform that raised and lowered a two barrel cannon from the bed. All the Cab Overs were pedal driven, and typically featured a windshield. Today, the AMF truck is popular among collectors and is usually found in good, restorable condition as it was larger and more durable than other pedal vehicles.

These cars were offered with many different graphics painted on the sides. The background colors accurately depict original paint color schemes from AMF/BMC.
