For a simple-as-a-T street rod with a lower profile and more interior room, give Speedway's 1927 T kit a try! It has the open engine bay and fenderless look of any real Hot Rod with the added plus of a great deal more leg room.
With Speedway's years of experience in the fiberglass body business you can count on our glass to be smooth, strong and built to last. This kit's one-piece body features a molded turtle deck, a flat smooth firewall and a continuous lower lip around entire body that's perfect for attaching the floor.
It also sports a strong 1-1/2" x 3" tubular steel frame with a 114" wheelbase. Long and low for a great ride and ample interior room! It also fetures spring behind the axle 4-bar front suspension that gives you a smoother ride and cleaner appearance as well as front and rear panhard bars for safe, stable handling and zero bump steer.
You get to choose between 1937-48 Ford or 1949-54 Chevy spindles. This kit also includes steering arms, tie rod, drag link and pitman arm for Vega steering box (Vega steering box sold separately). We use cross steering for good reasons: No bump steer, more transmission and foot room and a more normal steering column angle.
Also included is a brake pedal with master cylinder and mounting bracket as well as adjustable chrome plated Carrera coil-over shocks that allow easy height and ride adjustments. This kit has classic hairpin rear radius rods for an attractive, secure, adjustable rear suspension.
The Deluxe 1927 T Roadster kit is available with a body with door jambs and doors that you can hang and latch. The deluxe kit will give you everything included in the basic kit, a different body with door jambs and doors, door latches for both the left and right side, striker plates for latches, and a full set of hinges for both doors.
The rear axle assembly and vega box shown are optional and are not included with the frame kit. They are available separately.
