Start your T project off right with a pre-fabricated chassis from Speedway Motors! All the hard work and critical suspension geometry have been engineered in these economical kits.
The Deluxe 4-Bar Front Suspension Frame kit features a urethane-brushed 4-bar front end with front panhard bar.
Speedway's T Chassis Features a 1-1/2" x 3" rectangular mild steel tubing frame with a 3" O.D. round tube front crossmember and leaf spring behind the 4" drop axle front suspension with spring perch ahead of front crossmember. This makes the car lower, longer, more stable and smoother riding. The rear of the frame has a 10" kick-up to lower the car and provide a concealed rear spring mount. The wheelbase of 1922-25 kit measures 103" and the wheelbase of the 1926-27 kit measures 114".
The frame kit also includes sturdy hairpin rear radius rods with Speedway's exclusive "S" reinforcement and a zero bump steer cross steering arrangement with tie rod, drag link, steering and pitman arms (steering box not included). This also gives the chassis a cleaner appearance and allows a more normal steering column angle.
Your choice of 1937-48 Ford or 1949-54 Chevy spindles. Spindle-mount or 5-bolt-hub brake kits are available for either spindle. You are able to attach the included brake pedal, dual master cylinder and mounting bracket is the position of most comfort for you.
Either chassis can have the classic high-arch leaf type cross spring with normal shocks or the trick chrome plated Carrera adjustable coil-overs with panhard bar style rear suspension. The rear axle assembly and vega box shown are optional and are not included with the frame kit. They are available separately.
