The in line pressure valve retains a minimum brake line pressure to help eliminate excessive pedal travel in both drum and disc brake systems.
The 2 lb valve is used in disc brake applications where the master cylinder is mounted below the horizontal plane of the calipers and fluid drain back occurs from gravity and vibration, thereby causing excessive caliper piston retraction and a longer brake pedal stroke The minimal two pound residual pressure prevents fluid from flowing back without causing the brake to drag. Features 1/8” pipe thread inlet and outlet you must use a brake line adaptor sold separately. Most residual valves are color coded blue for 2 psi and red for 10 psi.
An RPV
DOES NOT cause brake drag, or cause the rear brakes to lock-up first!
For in-line use, 2 psi RPV in a disc brake circuit, and a 10 psi unit for drum brakes. 1/8" female NPT inlet/outlet.
