    Roller bearing fits into the back of a flathead Ford flywheel and will pilot the end of a GM T-5, Muncie, T-10, or Saginaw manual transmission.

Adapt a GM/Chevy T-5 transmission to ’32-’48 Ford or ’39-’50 Mercury engines. Allows use of your early Ford clutch release shaft and fork.

Kit includes adapter, release bearing, adapter sleeve and pilot bearing.

Installation Notes (PDF)

  1. This adapter contains four 1/2"-20 threaded holes to mount the transmission case to the adapter.  The bolt sizes on a T-5 transmission case are not consistant.  In order for your T-5 to work with this adapter, you may be required to enlarge the four bolt holes in the case of your transmission so that they accept 1/2"-20 bolts.
  2. A return spring tab (normally found on an original Flathead transmission) is not included.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Kit should include cross shaft and throwout fork. Adapter should be cast with starter cup relief and inspection hole in top to help alighnment during install. Instructions shuld recommend a hydraulic press to install the throwout bushing.
