What's in the Box

Info

These rugged Offenhauser aluminum valve covers give classic good looks to lots of Hot Rod power plants! The sides, ends and fins have all received the "polisher's touch". Cast aluminum design also helps reduce noise and dissipate heat versus stock valve covers. One cover includes a hole for a breather/filler cap.

Fits all 1953-1966 Buick Nailhead V8 engines.

Specs

  • 3-1/2" overall height
  • 21" long @ base
  • 4-1/2" wide @ base

Hi I just received these valve covers from you, I just tried fitting them and I have a couple of issues 1, the bolts that hold down the original covers are too short do you sell longer ones? 2. The cover doesn't clear the power steering pump it's an old 1955-1957 Saginaw long type, I want to change this anyway would a type 2 Saginaw be able to be swapped I'm not worried about the brackets I can mod those if needed but I can't find anything about the pressure they run at, I don't want to blow the seals in my rack if the new ones run at a higher pressure. Great service by the way, really quick delivery thank you

We apologize but do not offer longer bolts for the Offy valve covers. You may want to try local hardware store in your area. If your rack is a T-bird rack then the later Saginaw pumps will work without any special pressure reduction. If you have an earlier Mustang II rack you may want to check pressure requirements and flow requirements to the Saginaw pump to avoid damage. Normally you will not blow out the seals unless the lines are reversed and the steering will be over sensitive and want to dart all over. In that case we offer a power steering valve that is adjustable to your desired assistance.
