What's in the Box

Info

New stamped steel stock control arms do not include bushings or ball joints. Specify LH or RH. Works with bushings 916-34030 and 916-34036.

If you are purchasing this to fit onto a '78-'88 GM "metric" chassis for racing purposes and require a passenger side/right front control arm, you should be purchasing #91634300-R. If you require a driver side/left front control arm, you should be purchasing #91634300-L.

If you are purchasing this arm for use in a '68-'72 Nova or '67-'69 Camaro, you will need to purchase the left hand arm for the passenger/right side and the right side arm for the drivers/left side.

the only thing that would improve is to have option that come with control arms with certain applications like supplying info on the correct bushings for using on metric chassis.

You will need one front bushing 91634030 and one rear bushing 91634036 for each control arm when using this control arm in a G body frame. Those bushings will need to be welded in place once the correct position has been found to fit well in the frame.

These arms are sold to fit a 1978-1988 "G" body metric frame for racing conditions. These arms are not an exact OEM replica. If using this arm for use in a 1968-1974 Nova or 1967-1969 Camaro you will need to purchase a Left sidearm for passenger side and a right side arm for the drivers side.

Bushings 91634030 and 91634036 are the correct ones for installing this control arm into a Metric chassis. One of each bushing will be needed per control arm.

It is possible to retrofit this lower control arm to a G-body Metric frame using control arm bushings 91634030 and 91634036. You will need to modify and change several things on your car to use these. These control arms use 5" OD springs, longer tie rod ends (which get very close to the control arm. We suggest a swaged tube and 5/8" rod end for the outer) as well as the typical metric upper control arms (both stock and aftermarket) will not work. You will need to build custom upper control arms or use adjustable upper control arms. The stock Metric ball joint can not be used with this control arm so reaming of the spindle for different upper and lower ball joints will be necessary as well. Installing these control arms on a Metric car is a complete front suspension redesign and certainly not a bolt on swap.

Sorry we do not offer an upper control arm that bolts to the stock metric frame mount that will allow you to use this lower control arm. When converting a Metric car to Nova lower control arms it is a complete front suspension redesign and will require custom tubular upper control arms or adjustable upper control arms. We only suggest this type of modification for a serious fabricator/suspension designer. It is far from a bolt on upgrade.

Yes the Nova control arm will move the wheel forward considerably. We typically do not recommend this installation if you haven't "been there, done that" in the past. It's certainly not a bolt on swap.
