This drivers side upper control arm for oval track racing Metric chassis is designed to be used with stock mount. Fits 1978-87 mid-size GM Metric chassis Stock Cars.

  • Chromoly steel construction
  • Steel cross shaft
  • Bolts to stock 1978-87 Metric mounts (6-7/8" center-to-center)
  • Greaseable steel bushings
  • Threaded for K7772 style screw-in ball joints
  • Drivers side arm (left hand)
  • Choose from 8-1/2" or 9" length

Use with mount plate 916-34312.

screw in ball joint would not start to screw in due to out of round threads on control arms,two out of three arms were this way.waste of my time and money! speedway made up for it by replacing arms with bolt on type ball joints. just my time lost. thanks Scott, your no nonsense response to this helped alot. thanks Dallas.

These are installed so that the ball joint is offset forward as compared to the frame bolt holes in the A arm.

This will bolt up to a 2wd S10 frame however it is not a good choice for your application. This control arm requires a screw in ball joint which will then require that you ream your upper ball joint connection on the spindle with reamer 91089411. Then the other problem is that the longer than stock length of 9" is only available in a left side version. This control arm has the ball joint connection welded in at an angle and WILL NOT allow the use of it on the right side. You would have to cut the ball joint ring off and weld it back on at the proper angle to use it on the right side. Sorry we do not have a good bolt on option for your needs.

Yes that is the correct ball joint for this control arm. It was originally used on Chrysler vehicles. You will need to ream your spindle in order for the ball joint to work with your spindles. Reamer 91089411 will be needed.
