Isee the width of the 22" radiator is actually 21.88". Is there any deviation in width? I'm asking because my frame rails are 22" exactly. Radiator must fit between the frame rails.

We always suggest at least 1/2" narrower radiator than the frame rail width so that some minor flex of the frame does not cause rubbing of the radiator. With this radiator actually measuring 22 7/8" wide it would be possible to get the radiator to slide down between the frame rails but you will inevitably have some rubbing of the radiator to the frame which eventually will cause the radiator to leak.

Our universal economical aluminum radiators are NOT available with the transmission cooler and you will need to run a separate transmission cooler in the appropriate size as needed. The other option would be a direct fit radiator with the transmission cooler already installed or as an option. For more exact applications feel free to call and consult with one of our techs.

Yes this radiator should cool well for your application. We suggest the widest radiator you can fit in you application as well as a good fan shroud for maximum cooling.

I have a 1964 c10 I added A 18 inch fan NO Clutch and A 1960s style Shroud like the ones on Early 1962 65 Impalas I went as far as I could width wise the engine is a Stock87/95 Stock Roller 350 and 700 R4 I mounted one of those 21 inch wide Heat Sink anodized blue Trans Coolers Out in Front of but under the Radiator but in the flow of air as you drive. It stays cool in the Fall months even summer but Traffic stops for 20 minutes it goes over 210 then I start to see it boil over. I am using A 15 LBS Pound cap and a 160 Degree thermostat. I wonder if I should have a 19/21 Lbs Cap and A Thermal Fan Clutch I used the larger than stock Radiator I think its a 3 row It is A griffin tanks on the sides in cool months it runs 160 170 but stop for more than 15 minutes and it goes right up to 210 I dont trust it to go any higher and it backs off when I get back onto the highway

Your fan and shroud combination is not able to pull enough air through the radiator when not moving or moving at a very slow speed. Some possibilities for solving your issue would be to speed up the fan with a different pulley system, use a higher flow fan or a clutch fan, use a shroud that fits the radiator and fan better and is sealed up completely. A combination of things may be needed but my first course of action would be the fan shroud, then the fan. A fan shroud such as 82055A or similar will pull air through much more surface area of the core.
