Original Flathead water pumps have always suffered from unreliable bronze bushings and carbon seals. They almost always leaked and even Ford manuals warned mechanics not to tighten fan belts too tight. The excess slack allowed belts to slip and lose contact with the generator and water pump pulleys, causing more cooling and power problems.
Note: Thiswater pump is for 1949-1953 engines in 1949-1953 pickups or 1932-1948 cars.
Speedway's completely new water pumps feature severe-duty roller and ball bearings, close tolerances and modular impellers to provide maximum flow and reduce cavitation. They also have modern ceramic seals on a heavy duty 3/4" shaft, making the assembly exceptionally strong and more efficient. Gaskets included.
Rebuild your KSE water pump. Kit comes with water pump shaft, bearings, seals and o-rings.

Replacment belt for water pump-mounted Gold Belt Drive Fuel Pump 910-11584.
Water pump pulley shim kit provides proper drive belt alignment with pulleys. Kit contains two aluminum 1/16" spacer and one 1/8" spacer.
Speedway's adjustable water pump is tried, tested and true. It has great flow, superior quality and standard features that are typically only available on water pumps costing twice as much. State-of-the-art aluminum casting and a precision impeller provide equal flow to both cylinder banks. If you're using a cog belt on your race car, this is the pump you want since it's adjustable. The 1/2" mount holes in this pump are larger than normal, allowing it to be moved up or down slightly to help with belt tension.
Cam-driven with the shaft protruding through the pump. This unit allows adaptation of Hilborn, Enderle and various other styles of fuel and/or oil pumps for use with direct drive. Works well for a relocated belt driven pump.
Speedway Short Aluminum water pumps flow 35 gallons per minute at 4,000 RPM, with minimal cavitation and proportionally increased flow rates at 5,000 RPM and above. Equalized water flow distribution and pressure-balanced water passages minimize internal engine hot-spots making these pumps an excellent alternative for not only light duty racing, but also marine, trucks, towing, and motorhome applications. Cruisers and hot rodders will appreciate the improved cooling at low speeds.
"Short" style pumps came on all factory small block V8s from 1955 to 1968. However, this pump will fit all S/B Chevys up to 1985.
Whether you're installing original Flathead water pumps or Speedway's all-new redesigned pumps, you'll need fresh gaskets to seal them to the block. These gaskets are for 1949-1953 Ford Flathead V8 water pumps. Sold as a pair.
