Q & A

What's in the Box

Nothing says "hot rod" like a tachometer strapped to the steering column or perched atop the dash. This chrome-plated mounting cup accepts 3-3/8" tachs and will help you mount your tach where you want it.

Works well with Classic Instruments and Omega 3-3/8" tachs.

We have had issues with many of Stewart Warner's tachs fitting into this cup due to the depth of the tach being greater than the depth of this cup. Sorry I do not carry that specific tach to try it but you should be able to determine if it will fit by the following dimensions: Depth at the outer edge: 2 5/8" Depth in the center: 3" The reason there is two depth measurements is because the back of the cup is domed slightly and the center of the cup is deeper than it is at the outer edge.

Are the holes in the back of the cup midway along the circumference? I recently purchased another manufacturer's cup and the mounting holes were offset toward the bottom, which doesn't line up with the mounting studs on the back of the tachometer I'm usin

This tach cup does NOT have holes in the back for mounting studs on the tach. The tach is a basic resistance fit with a clamp band that goes around the perimeter of the cup and the cup is slotted at the base so it can tighten snugly against the tach. One hole in the back for the wiring and the rubber grommet and mount bracket is included. Works with most Classic, Stewart Warner, and Omega tachs with the 3 3/8” diameter. Dimensions are as follows: This tach cup measures approximately 3-5/16"I.D. The interior depth is app.2-5/8" at the side, 3"at the center. Works well with SW, Classic Inst, and Omega 3-3/8" tachs. It will work well with any gauge with body diameter of approximately 3.328".
