Great quality

The chrome is good quality. But the plastic inserts that are used screw on and are too time consuming. The inserts that slide on and lock are a better product.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Looks good

October 02, 2014
I installed this on my 1966 Nova behind an Afco racing radiator. It covers the rotating fan blades, works as a fan shroud to direct air flow and dresses up the engine compartment. I had to fabricate mounting brackets, I have no idea of how you could use the fasteners that come with it? No directions.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a universal fan shroud and adaptable to a multitude of applications and fan sizes. It attaches to the radiator via zip ties and can work with fans up to 18” diameter. For proper cooling and air flow the tips of the fan should be encapsulated inside the shroud.

This shroud can be used in nearly any application that it will fit into. The shroud is 12" tall, 21" wide and 5 1/2" deep. Take some measurements on your S10 to confirm fitment. Also the width of the shroud can be very easily altered by squeezing it in or pulling it apart some.

I have a 1965 Ford F100 with a 302 and a Holley 4 barrel with a stock type fan. My truck starts to heat up ( 3/4 the way on the gauge, usually runs at 1/4 to 1/2 way on gauge )in awful stop and go slow freeway traffic. Sometimes the engine will die if stopped to long. Sometimes the freeway I travel on just crawls along. I noticed if I rev and hold the engine RPM, the temp comes down a bit. Would this 5 1/2" fan shroud solve the problem? Thanks, Tim

A radiator's efficiency is only as good as the air flow thru the core. If you have a mechanical fan without a shroud the fan is of very little use and you are relying on vehicle movement down the highway for air flow. Sitting stopped a fan without a shroud is simply moving air around under the hood and by installing a shroud will force the air to be pulled thru the radiator increasing the efficiency by up to 60%. The shroud in correct size should cover half the tips of the fan blades or slightly more.
