Will this fit Ford FT heavy duty motor distributors (e.g. 391FT) Ford trucks from the '70s used a heavy duty version of the FE block fords, often referred to as the FT motors, like the 391. These motors often have distributors equipped with cable tach-drives and an accommodation for governors. Will this kit fit those Ford distributors as well?

Part number 2881705 and 2881715 and more. Distributor performance depends on many things including the electronic components. Distributor shaft, shaft bearings or bushings, and play in any of the mechanical components. This kit allows you to retain the smaller more desirable cap on many hot rod and muscle car applications. This kit will up the voltage as compared to an OEM coil and in turn give you a hotter spark and a more precise spark very similar to or better than an HEI set up.

Does this product use a slip over the distributor shaft piece to send current between the pickup and sender like petronix system II . Or does it just sends current off the shaft itself? I have a replacement distributor with a smaller shaft , I am looking

Part number 2881705 This style of conversion kit picks up the signal from the cam lobe on the distributor shaft itself and does not require a slip over collar or sleeve.
