Q & A

What's in the Box

.350" x 10.50" drilled steel rotor. 31-spline axle hub for use with all 6" on 5 1/2" bolt circle rotors. Dynalite caliper and pads.

The Billet Dynalite caliper is powerful, compact and super lightweight. Advanced computer engineering keeps this caliper extremely rigid, resulting in incredible brake torque at a bare minimum in weight, starting at 2.66 pounds. Internal fluid crossover eliminates external tubes and the four position, two-piece bleed screws allow for convenient mounting and easy bleeding. The Billet Dynalite uses standard quick change Dynalite pads, deep cup stainless steel pistons and high temperature seals, and has a black anodized finish. The time proven Dynalite caliper design is stronger and lighter than ever - ideal for Late Models, Modifieds, Sprints, Road Racers and Dragsters.

Wilwood's steel rotors have applications in all types of motorsports. Weighing in at 4.7 lbs these steel rotors provide a durable lightweight option in applications where sustained temperatures remain in the low to moderate range, and high heat spikes are only observed on an intermittent basis. With their 6" on 5 1/2" bolt centers these rotors can stop anything from a hard stopping drag race car at the end of a quarter mile, or a high speed stock car coming in from a qualifier at a super speedway. Steel rotors can also be found in lighter weight open wheel cars such as sprints and modifieds, and a variety of light weight, open wheel road course racers. A special alloy and proprietary manufacturing processes give these rotors high resistance to thermal distortion with excellent friction and wear characteristics against the pads.

Wilwood 290-6209 EXP 600 Plus Extreme Performance Racing Brake Fluid

EXP 600 Plus is a highly refined blend developed for extreme performance under the high heat and extreme pressure of professional motorsports. EXP 600 Plus has been tested to 626° F with a wet boiling point of 417° F. These numbers far exceed any DOT or SAE specifications.

It is true that racing brake fluids need to have high boiling points. It is also true that fluids need to have low moisture affinity to slow the natural absorption rate of water vapor. But the true test of any high temp brake fluid is how well it resists aeration and compressibility after it has been heated and pressure cycled a few hundred times. The real test is at the track. EXP has been proven to maintain firm pedal feel and quick response, long after others have failed.

Note: For optimum performance, EXP 600 Plus should not be diluted with any other brake fluids. Add new fluid to a clean system.

Ultra Lite Brakes 900-1032 Hot Fluid Brake Fluid, 1 Qt.

Ultra Lite Brakes Hot Fluid is an extreme service racing brake fluid. This high temp brake fluid has a 600 degree plus dry boiling point which makes it ideal for severe braking conditions. Hot Fluid is a non-silicone base fluid that will not turn black like most competitive brake fluids. The fluid also has special additives that aid in lubricating and gauling. Guaranteed "O" ring friendly.

AFCO 6691903 Ultra HTX 600+ Brake Fluid, 16.9 oz.

If you are using a parts store brake fluid, you are not getting the most from your brake system. AFCO Ultra HTX racing brake fluid is specifically formulated for racing under the most demanding conditions. Ultra HTX's high wet and dry boiling points give you maximum protection against vapor lock and other problems associated with high brake system temperatures. With a 600+ degree boiling point, Ultra HTX high temp brake fluid sets a new standard for brake fluid performance.

  • Specifically formulated for racing
  • High wet and dry boiling points
  • 600+ degree dry boiling point
  • Exceeds D.O.T. 3, 4 and 5.1 requirements
