Ford 1988 F150 Correcting Clutch problems in 5 Speed Transmi

November 09, 2015
The Ford hydraulic quick release line constantly induces air into the system. Using a T56 to AN3 fitting on the slave concentric cylinder and 4ft AN3 braided line to the Wilwood master cylinder will eliminate the air in the line which provides a strong solid clutch pedal.
Pros:
  • Good Fit
Cons:
  • Needs Outlet Below Bowl
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a 3/4" bore master cylinder. We do not have the exact specs of the slave cylinder that you mention but more than likely this master cylinder would be able to operate it.

The Wilwood number 8352601304 is a ¾ bore master cylinder and in many cases will supply the needed volume for full clutch release but still is only 1/8” larger in bore size than your existing master cylinder. We offer more compact master cylinders such as number 835260103 which is available in 1” bore or also 70174 which is also available in the 1” bore size.

Sorry we do not offer a longer pushrod or a push rod extension. You may want to remove the pushrod and lengthen it or make an extension out of a piece of 5/16" all thread and a coupling nut.

This can be used for brakes but it has a limited amount of stroke and the small bore size makes it only suitable for a single caliper or very small dual calipers. Also the reservoir is very small so it has more possibility of running out of fluid and loosing the ability to stop.
