No this is not a Roller Slide transmission. See part numbers 8026013 and 8026014 for a Falcon Roller Slide.

This is the standard Falcon transmission and the reason you only need a flexplate is that the transmission has internal clutches. You’ll need the flexplate to start the engine and the transmission comes with a coupler for the input shaft to go into.

Yes the included drive flange is for 55 to 85 SBC with a 2 piece rear main seal. Sorry I do not have a bolt kit to mount the transmission to the bellhousing.

You will need a bellhousing with a bolt pattern for a GM type transmission (Muncie or Saginaw pattern) such as bellhousing 910110430 and also a coupler to bolt up to the Ford crankshaft 80262349. There is a three piece input shaft/coupler setup on this transmission which bolts directly to the crankshaft. You will need to use a flex plate between the coupler and crankshaft in order to start the engine.

You need to use a Ford type ATF fluid or Gears Unlimited antifoam gear oil #61733. For fill level on transmission, fill oil to level of bottom fill plug. Do not overfill. Use DOT 3 brake fluid for clutch system.

Thanks for your question on our Falcon Transmission. It will have internal clutches and will work like a Brinn Transmission. You would push the clutch in to move the car in low gear. Hope this helps you out Thanks for using Speedway Motors

I was wondering what all was needed to bolt and go? Will this bolt to a stock bell or do i need an aftermarket bell? Can this trans be used with an externally balanced engine(BBC, and some early SBC) or does it have to be internally balanced? Thanks

Yes this transmission can be used with an externally balanced engine. Simply use the correct flex plate like you would with an automatic transmission. The flex plate will only be used to start the engine. The other required items are going to include a bell housing, flex plate, hydraulic clutch pedal and master cylinder with ¾” bore, and a shifter with the appropriate linkage. This transmission is the same length and output shaft spline as a Muncie transmission. It is also important to note that this transmission is designed for circle track racing only. The internal clutch must be use very gently and you must be in high gear before applying any more than a slight amount of throttle.
