When looking at the outside of this restrictor the small side gets inserted into the lower radiator neck. The larger OD will rest up against the radiator neck and keep it from falling into the radiator. You will need to clamp the hose onto the radiator like usual then add another clamp over the area of this restrictor to keep it from moving.
