Info

Walker Z-Series radiators feature a 4-row, high-flow copper core which is ideal for use with Big Blocks, blowers, and high compression engines. Built for a direct fit with heavy gauge steel side brackets and mounting holes pre-stamped. Includes a built-in oil cooler for automatic transmissions.

  • Copper core w/ 1-piece brass tanks
  • Vertical tubes every 1/4" and 12 fins per inch of height
  • Heavy duty 12 Ga. steel side brackets w/ pre-drilled holes
  • Use a 15-18 lb. radiator cap
  • Brass drain cock
  • Simple bolt-in install w/ no modifications to grille or grille shell
  • Use Walker Fan Shroud Style E

This is a radiator only and does not include an AC condenser. If you want a radiator with AC condenser mounted to it see part number 820ZAC4951.

Re-cooling I have a 37-ford 350 engine using a Walker z-ac495-1 rad its 15 years old car has 7,000 miles. I have it out its leaking, using a flex fan to pull plus 2- 12inch fans to push.Will a shroud improve my cooling but I have no issues with temperature what so ever. Just checking being my rad is out and my front end apart. E. Julling

If you have a mechanical fan without a shroud encompassing the majority of the fan blade the cooling efficiency drops by over 50% in many cases depending on how far the fan is from the radiator core. With electric fans in front of the area this blocks some of the available air flow from the puller fan and also air flow going down the highway. The best cooling is a mechanical with the proper shroud or better yet a quality electric puller and shroud combo such as the Ultimate cooling machine number 91015652.
