Lowering block review 1973 Ford Mustang

August 10, 2016
Quality was nice. It is a universal product so in my case I had to do some very slight modifications to the blocks. The centering pin was just a little to large. Had to take the grinder and shave a little off the outside. The U Bolts were too large for my application. Comes with 3" and I needed 2 3/4" so had my local suspension shop bend some up for me. Turned out nice and made the stance what I was looking for.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Best bang for your buck

I always search the web for the best quality product at the best price. Building several hot rods and muscle cars/trucks at the same time I need to stretch my dollar as far as I can. Speedway beats them all with their quality lowering block kits. Look no further this is a quality product at a great price.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Everything fit good with the exception of the hole in the center was a bit too small. I simply drilled it slightly bigger and it was fine. Good set.

It is possible to use a block on one side only but your problem will not be fixed. Most likely you have a broken spring or a spring that has gotten very weak on one side. You would be much better off replacing both springs.

These blocks will work on any spring application that has a 3" diameter axle on a 2 1/2" spring. Check the sizes of these components on your Mustang to be sure it will work.

These lowering blocks are a universal design. As long as the 2-1/2" width x 5" lenght on the lowering block is correct for your Mustang then they should work for you. Also the U bolts are intended for 3" OD axle tubes and they are 10" long.

The 2.5" width of the lowering blocks would be correct for the Camaro leaf springs and kit should work if original suspension.
