Poor instructions

June 04, 2016
Poor instructions and took me over hour to try and figure how they were supposed to be installed. The large washer has a hole in it that obviously fits the end of the small rubber piece on the bottom. The problem is that the small end is only 3/16" deep and once it goes thru a mount that is 3/16" or 1/4", there is no rubber area for the big washer to center itself on the lower rubber. The other problem is that there is no washer that goes under the head of the thru bolt and this will cause the head to dig into the rubber. I didn't use the large washer as it had no worthwhile purpose as I could see. I comments section did have a picture from some else who did the same thing. Had to buy the washers for the bottom of the small mount.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Strait forward universal motor mount

June 02, 2016
This is a good universal rubber mount for the price. However, there is no weight rating for size/weight of motor. Mount compresses under weight. Am using it on a Mercedes diesel to Toyota 4x4 conversion. Inner mount hole was supposed to be 1", but is actually 1 1/8". No big deal if you have an 1 1/8" drill... however 1" is much more standard.
Pros:
  • Simple For Fabrication
Cons:
  • No Matching Universal Mnt
  • Inner Mount Hole 1 18"
  • No Motor Weight Rating
Yes, I recommend this product.

absorbs vibrations so your mounts won't break

May 09, 2016
You may want insert the new rubber into your old washer/frame adapter. This locks the rubber into place. Otherwise this is a high quality and well designed product. The rubber appears high quality and is definitely more flexible than your old worn out pads. As the description says, these new pads may prevent breakage of your cast iron block motor mounts.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Cushion kit number 7209314 is meant to be used with the motor and frame mounts offered for various applications. It could be used in your application pending the hole diameters in the motor mount and the attachment bracket on the frame.

Part # 7209314 These mounts are not reproductions of the original mounts used on the 46-48 Fords but have been used to mount the flatheads to the frame in many applications. Originally designed for the early “Hurst” style cradle mounts such as part number 1356023 in conjunction with frame mounts such as 1353274 they have been used for a multitude of other applications.

Do you have longer mount bolts? By the time you put the all of the washers on with a 50's Flat Head V-8 water pump mount, the bolts are too short.

We apologize but with very limited requests we do not offer longer bolts for this cushion kit. You may want to check with one of the manufacturers such as TD Performance Products for availability.

There is currently no torque spec on these cushions. All you need to do is tighten them until it just starts smashing the rubber.
