seemingly great fan

September 26, 2013
Bought this fan in the garage sale. It said the fan had a broken shroud(no big deal). I installed the fan and turned it on. It vibrated like crazy, so I turned it off. Examine the fan closely and notice a chunk of the fan was missing. With no returns on garage items it sits in the garage collecting dust. Everything else with Speedway was a quick and great experience
No, I would not recommend this product.

Perfect size

August 30, 2013
I installed the 13" version on an AFCO80206 mini sprint radiator and it is a perfect install. Moves a tremendous amount of air and makes my car stay cooler than ever. Speedway should give a bundle option for their radiator mentioned above and the 13" turbo swirl fan assembly. Thanks for another great product at a great price!!!
Pros:
  • great air movement
  • Best bang for the buck
  • low amp draw
Cons:
  • None
Yes, I recommend this product.

A Perfect Compact Fan

May 21, 2010
Used this fan in my roadster to replace an aging unit that was not working properly. After looking at "many electric fans", I found this one had excellent cfm flow and the low depth profile I needed. Comes complete with hardware to fit a variety of installations. I would compare the overall quality to units costing 2 to 3 times as much. A great product
Pros:
  • Low profile for easy fit
Yes, I recommend this product.

We apologize but cannot be of assistance for the female part of the plug in on this fan. You may want to search the HELP aisle at your local parts store for the mate but in many cases it is easier to buy a wiring connector kit with both ends for quick hook up and disconnect.

The 15" fan measures 16 3/4" tall and 15 3/4" wide so you should be able to just get it fit into your 17" x 16 1/4" space.

The 15” version pulls 1700 cfm and should be sufficient to cool your small block Ford engine as long as the engine is in good mechanical condition.

These Turbo Swirl electric fans are not an OEM replacement fan for the later model cars and designed for hot rod applications or as an auxiliary source for air movement and additional cooling. These fans mount directly through the radiator core with “4” plastic threaded bolts. In some instances the fans are mounted to a fan shroud and then the shroud attached to the radiator. For a full view of mounting procedures feel free to visit our website and open the purple print “pdf instruction” file.
