The hobby was amazed by the design, quality and performance of our Small Block Chevy cast iron Tru-Ram® exhaust manifolds. Little did everyone know 'Speedy' Bill had more up his sleeve. These investment cast stainless steel ram horn manifolds feature an as-cast, unpolished finish for a distinctive look. Enjoy the performance of tube-headers with the nostalgic look of the ram horn, along with the low maitenance characteristics that stainless steel provides!

  • Provides a tight-fit to minimize steering and clearance issues
  • Same performance as tube headers with classic ram horn styling
  • Offers a distinctive look
  • Fits most round port SBC cylinder heads 
  • Works with most straight or angle plug heads
  • 2-1/2" collector size
  • Includes stainless mounting hardware and gaskets
  1. These do not clear the steering box on 1935-1940 Fords or 1955-1957 Chevy cars.

  2. The exhaust port size is square and large enough for most round port heads. It measures 1.375" x 1.375" and should be sufficient for most small block cylinder heads. Variation in location of spark plugs on aftermarket heads makes it impossible to verify that the Tru-Ram® will fit all heads on the market, but it will clear most straight and angle plug heads.

  • 3-1/2" from cylinder head surface to outside point
  • 3-1/2" from manifold bolt center to top of header
  • 5-1/2" from manifold bolt center to bottom of collector
  • Exhaust ports are a square configuration just under 1.375" wide and tall

The looks and finish are outstanding. Everyone has block hugger headers. The best choice for a classic look. Stainless will take on an amber tint. Collectors are tapered .040" so a butt/band clamp does not work reliably.

Installed in an '80's Jaguar XJ. Tight clearances and very specific outlet location dictated by the cars rack and pinion layout. So I just cut them off rotated the flanges to the location needed and re-welded...the quality of steel made them a jewel to TIG back together, no porosity, and you can hardly tell I "remodeled" them, except for A.I.R. injection ports and EGR to keep the Jag emissions compliant. If they came as 'KIT' so the flange and "downpipe" were separate from the "ramshorns" anyone could rotate and align the outlets for difficult installations not just block huggers for the "geezers" in old ford street rods...okay that is inflammatory but these could be so much more than than just street rod manifolds. Turn the flanges to the rear and angle them and they would fit lots of four wheel drive applications. If you need a great place to start building a durable quiet exhaust these are swell. If you weld, you can cut 'em up and fit them to about any situation.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivered the second day after the order..WOW!!! Everything was well packaged and not even the delivery people could hurt them and I got gaskets and bolts and cool stuff nobody said was included. They even sent a catalog so I could buy more cool stuff...and the wife doesn't mind the greasy fingerprints on the catalog like the ones on HER computer....
