What's in the Box

This tri power kit allows you to put three Speedway 9 Super 7® carbs on your standard 4 bbl intake manifold. It includes three carbs, the adapter, air cleaners, progressive linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required. 

Note: Kit will NOT work with HEI distributors due to clearance issues. This system must be used in conjunction with a small diameter based distributor. 

  •   4 barrel bolt pattern is 5-1/8” side to side and 5-5/8” front to rear
  •   2 barrel bolt pattern is 3-1/4” side to side by 1-7/8” front to rear
  •   Adapter manifold is 2-3/16” tall bottom to top without the gaskets
  •   Adapter manifold top 3x2 dimension is 4” wide by 13-11/16” long

The 9Super7 Carb ® makes setting up a multiple carburetor induction system easier than when Strombergs were available new. All that's required to do so with our kits is a Uni-Syn syncing tool and a little patience. Our 3 Carb kits come with one primary carburetor and two secondary carburetors while the 2 Carb kits are both primary carbs.  See our Multiple Carburetor Tech Tip for more information on using the 9 Super 7 in a 2x2 or 3x2 carb set-up.

9 Super 7® Primary Carbs -

  1. Features .045" main metering jets and a number 65 power valve, which is the same as a stock 97 carb.
  2. Replacement jet access plug gasket use # 91011542, replacement needle & seat gasket use # 91011543.
  3. Includes base gasket.
  4. The 9 Super 7 ® will operate suitably with fuel pressures ranging from 1-1/2 psi to 4 psi, with a desired setting of 2-1/2 psi to 3 psi. Fuel pressure from 4 psi to 7 psi will cause the carburetor to run excessively rich and may cause flooding. Flooding or leaks caused by excessive fuel pressure do not indicate a faulty carburetor.
  5. Our independent tests produced these flow numbers:
    • 3" of Vacuum - 60 CFM
    • 10" of Vacuum - 110 CFM
    • 15" of Vacuum - 136 1/2 CFM
    • 28" of Vacuum - 184 CFM

This kit allows you to put Speedway's 9 Super 7® carbs on your standard 4 bbl intake manifold. It includes two carbs, the adapter, air cleaners, linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required.

2-Barrel to 4-Barrel Intake Adapter -

Allows you to mount any Stromberg "97" or Holley "94" three bolt carb to a small 4v (WCFB) Carter AFB or Holley 4 barrel carb intake. This adapter comes with mounting bolts and two 3-bolt carb mounting gaskets. It does NOT come with the intake manifold to adapter gasket.

  • Spacing for two barrel carbs is 5-1/4" center to center
  • Thickness of adapter is 1-5/8"

9 Super 7® Primary Carbs -

Speedway Motors has incorporated many improvements in the 9Super7 Carb  while maintaining the Stromberg 97 carburetor's original look. Features such as the choke assembly, accelerator pump, main jets and cosmetics have all been faithfully retained. Additionally, each carburetor is individually flow tested and inspected for leaks. Perfection is the result! Upgraded internal parts include; the float, needle, and seat. Jetting and power valve settings remain as they were for the original 97 carbs as well as the cfm and vacuum specs.

The 9 Super 7 makes setting up a multiple carburetor induction system easier than when Strombergs were available new. All that's required to do so with our kits is a Uni-Syn syncing tool and a little patience. Be sure to include the Secondary 9 Super 7 when installing 3-carb setups. Three Plain 9 Super 7 Carbs on 1957-86 Small Block Chevy Edelbrock Intake
                        

This tri power kit uses the Edelbrock C-357-B S/B Chevy 3x2 intake with Speedway's 9 Super 7® carbs. It has progressive linkage to give you good driveability and economy, but power when you need it. The manifold has a balanced 180° firing order port runner arrangement. It contains an exhaust gas heat riser and offers excellent performance potential. (idle-5500 rpm)

Kit includes three carbs, the intake, air cleaners, linkage kit, fuel block, fittings and red fuel line. Assembly required. Fits 1957-1986 Chevy 262-400 c.i.d. small-block Chevys.

Adjustable Main Jets for Stromberg-Style Carbs
                        

If you are like us you really don't like pulling the carbs off to change jets over and over... These adjustable main jets will make life a little easier and get your car running right, a lot faster. Machined to high standards on Swiss screw machine. Part has a stainless steel needle and brass body and nut with Viton O-ring seal.

Simply remove your jet well plugs and screw in this adjustable jet assembly. Use the largest stock jet size for the richest mixture you need, then use the adjuster to lean it down from there. You can lean your mixture by turning clockwise or richen by turning counter clockwise. Includes Teflon sealing washer, extra O-ring seals & instructions.
